Local artists Jiahn Kang and Polina Vee have come together to present My Perfect Nature at Peel Gallery in Carrboro, NC. This exhibition draws on each artists’ works, creating visual conversations about the essence of celebration & self.

Polina investigates how the body serves as a poignant reminder of the finite nature of life with textiles, embroidery, sculpture, and installation. Kang’s work draws on her expertise as a one-time cake designer and recalls crafting confections for those "SPECIAL OCCASIONS" with her techniques embodied in her sculptural flora pieces. An exhibition born from introspection and individual exploration, the artists’ themes reflect on each other to encapsulate the essence of celebration. 

In Kang’s words, ”So, let us revel in the beauty of each passing moment, embracing the joy and wonder that permeate our everyday lives. In this collective celebration, we find solace, connection, and a profound appreciation for the gift of being alive.”
